How Many IVCs ???

Can you guess how many IVCs I’ve had at this point? IVCs are still happening over here and I’m totally ok with that. At some point, maybe just maybe before the end of 2019, I MIGHT get to do 1 less IV per week. But we don’t have all the data back yet for those recommendations to be made.

If you guessed I’m on my 50th IV, you guessed way too low. If you guessed 100, still too low. Drumroll please…I had my 171st IVC today. When I say I spend a lot of time at that clinic and that I consider the staff my friends, I really mean it.

I’ve spent enough days @riordanclinic to have a pretty good idea of the clinic’s countenance. And yes, I believe places can have personality and it’s all based on the people. Riordan Clinic exudes positivity, hope, and encouragement right alongside compassion and care. The staff have been beside me cheering me on, answering my nearly endless questions 🤣🤓, giving me resource & research suggestions, and handling my case with care. So many of the staff go above and beyond to support me & Mike in this journey as I heal from cancer.

I don’t know what my cancer care would have looked like without high dose IV Vitamin C and my friends at Riordan being an intimate part of this season in my life. I’m thankful that cancer has given me an entire new set of friends, new vocabulary, and new ways to help others going through their own chronic illness/caregiving journeys.

If you or a loved one is going through cancer, please consider the adjunctive therapies and care offered by Riordan Clinic in Kansas (currently in Wichita, Overland Park, and Hays). People travel from all over the world to be co-learners at Riordan. Please feel free to connect with me if you’d like to know more about what it’s like to be a patient there. When you call Riordan, tell them Jenny sent you!
